Hello!

For quite a while the bypass switch on my Memory Man has been finicky. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s definitely not trustworthy enough for live use at the moment.  :(

I’m wondering what model of switch I need to purchase to properly replace the malfunctioning one myself.

Phillip

Open it up and mess around with the seatbelt looking thing. Just kinda trial and error finicking helped me fix this problem. I understand how depressing an unreliable digital delay is.

If its the switch and you don’t know how to solder you will have a very hard time replacing it as the solder EHX use now is Lead free and takes quite a bit of heat to make it flow and makes removing existing parts harder than usual.

Its not impossible to do by any means it just takes a little know how so you don’t destroy anything.

if the pedal is under warranty contact EHX to let them fix it: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

tried the wiggling. no go.

i’m not horrible at soldering, but not very well practiced nonetheless. i suppose i’d rather someone who knew exactly what they were doing handling it.

it worked fine when i got it and has been until recently. how much would one be looking to pay for a repair? and how long it turnaround usually?

Liberty Belle, I do know how to solder, so that would be no problem! Do you know of the specific model of switch that the SMMWH implements?  Thanks for the previous discussion.

Thanks Liberty Belle! I just placed my order for the switch. Looking forward to getting my Memory Man ship shape. It will be a blessing to have that pedal working again!  smile

I ordered the switch from the aforementioned site! The switch was in my mailbox about three business days later.

Once I had the switch, it was as easy as desoldering and removing the old one and soldering the new one! Glad to have that problem sorted out.  :thumb:

I do, however, have one last question. Which Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+ output and dip switch setting should i use to power the SMM>? I’d like to make sure i have that set up correctly.
