is there anyway to use a pog2 to get an electric piano sound at all ? i need one, but i can only seem to get organ sounds out of it, cheers

That would be hard to pull off with just the POG.
The effect really needs the envelope filter of the Microsynth and a Ringmod effect for the metalic sound.
That said ther at tons of cool sounds with in the POG2.

yh im looking at getting a microsynth

but what i need is just a simple piano sound, just for when i pick individual notes, it can sound like a piano. i was thinking would it be something with the two upper octvaes and the first lower octave ?

if someone can help me with this itll be fantastic

i dont want the sound like bill gets, even though its fantastic, its not the sound im looking for.

Just curious… Was there any consideration given to using the EHX Wiggler in it’s vibrato wurl setting? I think it’s perfect for simulating the electric piano vibrato/tremolo type of sound.

I’ve found using the Wiggler’s wurl setting, a Micro Q-Tron (set to band pass and not too much Q) and then some light delay sounds pretty cool for electric piano tones.

Can I just add some flanger for the mettalic effct instead of a Ring Modulator?

You can try a flanger in the filter matrix mode but the rig mod has more of the metallic clang of the electric piano tines.

Is possible to get this sound with the hog instead of the micro synth? I cant decide which to get and it seems the Hog is more usable live, but I love the sounds I hear from the MS… any advice on the 2?

The envelope filter in the Micro Synth is what make this effect work.
It is tricky to set up, but a wonderful effect
Also the slight ring mod adds the “tine” or enharmonic tone bar sound of an electronic piano.
The HOG is great at other things but it will not lead you to a sound like this…

The only worrying is its size…

Do you think that a compressor behind would be a must with it too?

I love my HOG & almost all of my SpaceMusic is recorded with it in the chain someplace. I find that the more you shape your sound before it, the better the results. I usually have my guitar compressor on into my English Muff’n before my HOG to play with the sound before the HOG sees it. Then, my MicroSynth might be in there and/or my Flanger HOAX. After the HOG is Stereo Memory Man. The HOG is in my opinion one the most amazing tone shapers out there for guitar & the more tone you give it the better the results.

The harpejji is a stringed instrument primarily for keyboardist’s who want to have access and control of real strings.  Recently I have been exploring the many sounds of the harpejji through effects pedals.  So naturally when I saw this video I was excited.  The harpejji utilizes piezo pick ups so it has a different sound than a guitar but it still has the desirable real string sound. 

The purpose of my message is to ask your recommendation of pedals.  I know that you have never played a harpejji but maybe through your experimentation you can guide me to the correct result.  The harpejji is played by striking the string to the fret or “tapping”.  Its the same technique used in your video.  I want to get a more “bell-like” sound out of the harpejji.  Ultimately I am thinking of a Fender Rhodes sound.  More accurately the Fender Rhodes sound that is one the first Mute Math album.  Its very clear and pristine.  I have a reverb pedal and compressor.  For starters I was thinking that the RIng Thing will do the trick.  Any other pedal suggestions or should I stick to the set up that you indicate on this forum?
