Peavey 5150 head with a Marshall 800 4x12 cab. For bass I have a Sunn concert bass head with Marshall Dynamic Bass System 2x12 and 2x10 stack. The Sunn head is sadly on the fritz and I have no idea whom to bring it to for repair. I think I burned it out by stupidly recording direct from the line-out without plugging in a speaker to bear the load.

A July 1988 Marshall JCM 800 2205 handwired (by me; the circuitboard solder connections were really bad)
and a DIY 20 watt SLO-inspired thingy (my own design; it sounds really good if I may say so myself).
They both absolutely love the Nano Muff; much more than they do the Marshall Guvnor.

My favorite amps for messing with pedals are the older Kustom ss amps. The clean headroom is incredible, they really bring out the best, and sometimes the worst in pedals. They are more than loud enough for any band setup and they look cool as shit to boot and they cost a fraction of what they went for new and imo an incredible value.

I recently traded my Mesa Boogie Subway Rocket for a Rocket 4Forty. Same tone, just louder, with reverb and a sweet tremolo. I also have an Orange Microcrush for practicing on the road. And last week I picked up a 44 Magnum in Toronto. Running that thru a couple celestion 12” is LOUD. It’s a nice alternative to the tube 4Forty.

For bass I use a 90’s Ampeg SVT-III or an Ampeg B2-RE.  For guitar I use an Ampeg VH140c and now an Ampeg Reverberocket R212R!  :thumb:

I have a Vox AC15 which I love! I use it in my video reviews of guitar pedals and find that it has so much character. I am thinking of getting a Fender Bassman one day. Does anyone here have any experience with them?

My daughter Aziza, lead guitarist for band TOY SUGAR is using a 1966 Blackface Fender Pro Reverb with a 1974 Strat. TOY SUGAR is 4- 16 year old girls who work really hard to write, perfect and perform their original music, they have played most recently The Knitting Factory Brooklyn 2 weekends in a row in December and will be at The Mercury Lounge Feb 10th opening for Titus Andronicus. Please friend them on FB under TOY SUGAR and see pic of them with their newest fan JOAN JETT!!

By the way out of the dozens of pedals demo’d she prefers Electro Harmonix over everything else.
