. . . a dirt box that sounds ball park (but with far more tonal options) like a WOOLY MAMMOTH !!!

I honestly think there is a market for such a beast !
Maybe in the same enclosure as the biggest Metal Muff, to have enough surface space for all the tonal knobs and toggles that will make it the ultimate tonal shaping Fuzz Monster !

I know my collection is not complete without such a pedal . . .

PLEASE EHX !!!

Like a Big Muff with Hazarai perhaps? That’s my dream pedal right now.

I’d rather ehx stay away from dirt atm.

Too much fuzz, distortion, overdrive in the world.

Let’s have something different.

I really like something similar to the Bass Metaphors but for guitar….

compression, parametric EQ, overdrive, noise gate and amp/speaker simulation (with a switch to turn that off) stereo in’s and out’s for DIing stereo effects. Jack and XLR outputs and an effects loop for putting effects after the drive section.

yeah, some kind of deluxe Muff in a Haz case with loads of extra stuff would be great too.

I haven’t tried this, but perhaps you could get somewhat close to a WM sound by adjusting the VOLT and BIAS knobs on the Germanium OD.  You can get “gated fuzz” sounds out of that thing.

IME, it works well on bass, but there was something about the sound I just didn’t like (which is weird for me, as I like the strange).  I should probably pick one up again just for experimentation, as I originally tested it with gear far from my own.

No such thing as too much dirt, I could have a board completely comprised of fuzz pedals

I designed a pedal, and I will be selling them soon, that is woolly mammothXbig muffXfuzzface-esque. It has volume tone and midscoop knobs. Its very bassy but never boomy, it has nice definition of notes and the midscoop knob allows you dial in either mid hump of midscoop, scooped as low as the swollen pickle. I don’t like to yank my own chain but its a sick fuzz and it definitely my favorite. When I start selling them I will post on HCFX about it.

My influence for making such a pedal was the Big muff(it has a modified big muff tonestack) and the fuzzface and of course the band EARTH, I wanted to blend the two but have a unique sound as the result. I’d love nothing more than to see EHX making one of my pedals but I doubt they’d want to make one of MY pedals. :(

one thing i’d hate to happen is the polychorus moving out of the sexy big box into a diecast bag. it really, really wouldn’t suit it.
big enclosures ftw!

I’m afraid of that too, although it would be nice to free up some space on my board. The big polychorus is just so strange and unknown around here, that it is just…cool to have. I don’t know if I’d go for the XO…I probably would just for space, and especially if the voltage is changed. Hell, I didn’t even go for the XO BMS
