This is a little demo of The ‘Melxowtone’ effects pedal made by Mellowtone for me and some other lucky people!!...40 made, all sold… so if you haven’t got one then there isn’t much chance now!!

anyway, some people have been asking me what it sounds like and how versatile it is having no external knobs (just an internal one for volume) so I thought I’d make a recording (as some of the video examples don’t really do it justice imo) it sounds really great with the EHX soul preacher too…awesome combo!!

It was recorded using a Japanese Fender Mustang ‘69 RI into the melxowtone into a Boss TM-7 guitar monitor (for amp/speaker simulation) into a Tascam DP-02CF digital 8-track.

The different tones were made just using the guitars volume and tone knobs and using different pickup combinations.

‘I got left?’ I didn’t make them, Mellowtone did….and they have none left!!! I’ve only ever had this one, which was a gift from them.

they didn’t choose me, I was asking Eric about making me a pedal and he said if he wanted he would put ‘melxowtone’ on it insted of ‘mellowtone’ (just for a laugh really :D ) and he suggested about making a few for for other people on the forum (hcfx), just for a bit of fun…..we were only expecting that he would make about 10 or so, but it ended up loads of people wanting them, so he put a cap on 40 as he wasn’t really making any money out of them selling them so cheap….it was all just for a bit of a laugh to be honest and it was fun.

it was fun, that’s for sure…....I’m gonna demo a load of my ehx pedals next…I think I’ll do one of the knockout because that seems to be a pedal people are curious about, but haven’t tried out.

I was just thinking the new ‘signal pad’ would work excellent with this to kick it down to a lower gain for cleaner parts.  smile

Video! :poke: smile

lol, I’d love to unfortunatly the only video I can do is with my stills camera, the picture is fine (in a youtube way) but the sound is awful…If I can figure out a way to sync the video from the camera with a recording, I’d do it…..I have windows movie maker but I had a go once and it was so confusing I haven’t bothered since!!!

I might have another go one day soon though.

unless someone knows of a free (and simple) video/sound synch program I can download?

To me yes, sounds like two clean boosts cause it is very clean like but its a little dirty at the same time.
