I’m sort of disappointed that Chris Cheney of The Living End doesn’t use andy EHX pedals. He uses some boss.

Anyone else here heard of The Living End?

sure…Aussie punk band with a guy that plays a double bass yeah?

a mate of mine used to love them, I think they are pretty cool…they remind me of the ‘suicide machines’ a little.

Im glad to see somebody knows them.

Nobody i talk to knows who they are. and im like “listen to these guys, they’re amazing”.

Of course, no one i know listens to the same music as me. :(

lol, I know that feeling!!

I don’t wanna sound like a tosser, but I’m pretty familiar with most punk/alternative/indie/underground type bands, I’m 39 years old and since I was about 14 all I’ve really done is buy records, read the music press and go to see bands!!

Absolutely! I saw them several years ago when they were touring on the ‘Roll On’ album and they were incredible. Chris was really getting into a solo and grabbed a half full bottle of beer and started playing slide with it. Beer was splashing all over the place and he was ripping it up. That show got me into rockabilly.

I know of the Living End.  It’s a reference to the movie “Rock Around the Clock” instead of THE END at the end, it says THE LIVING END.

I’ve heard the band a few times, sort of psychobilly right?

There’s also a Jesus and Mary Chain song of the same name

I’ve been listening to the Raconteurs all day and trying to pick out some of Jack Lawrence’s board. He’s the bassist btw.

On “Attention” I think I’m hearing POG, and maybe a Muff? I know he also has a English Muff’n, so it may be that. Could anyone else take a listen to it and let me know what they think? It seems like its has a very slight octave up, as well as the clean signal.

Yeah I’d agree on the holy grail/Doctor Q assumption.

Marc Ribot (the guy who plays a lot of guitar on Tom Waits’ albums) has been known to use Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissues and a DMM.

You can call me George if you want. And I have an Ibanez smile

One of the guitarists of this band called the dangerous summer uses a holy grail reverb pedal.
