I won one in a contest, though I already had a HOG.

The detune sliders are the best feature on it.  They really do aid in getting those cool organ sounds.

Not much to say about it though really.  It does what people tell you, and it does it pretty well.  Tracking isn’t perfect, but I tend to throw some pretty weird chords out.  The organ sound really is wonderful if you play the right things through it.

Try the Micro Pog sometime…. that box tracks really well. Very cool box. I just picked one up and it brings out the bad side of me…. really funky!

So I’ve heard.

I’ve got a HOG (which I’m going to write a review of pretty soon) and it fulfills all my pitch shifting needs for now.

Got me a POG, POG pleased me, fed my POG under yonder tree.

But on a lighter note, I am quite enamored with the beastly ol’ pog. Great for doing a one octave up/down with some dry signal on solos. Or you can make obnoxious noises with the +2 and nothing else.

I ain’t got no soul! No no no no!

I find the POG tracks well enough for me; it’s not as precise as the Micro POG or POG2, but I tend to like effects with some imperfections (they fit with the way I play! wink).

My first impressions (I only got the pedal today) are that the POG does ‘better’ (more authentic) organ and bass tones than the POG2. The POG2 is, at times, a bit hi-fi sounding whereas the POG has a bit more colour to it. The one thing I miss from the POG2 is the attack slider, but I’m not going to complain.

I have a Micro Pog but the specs seem a little underpowered compared with the POG2 which is my next EHX investment. But the micro does sound sweet with lots of compression first then square wave tremolo after.
