Ever since I’ve got the Little Big Muff it has been my go-to distortion/fuzz.  I quickly got rid of my Boss BD-2 and Danelectro French Toast after I got it.

There’s not a whole lot I can say about it.  It sounds thick and mean.  It turns my guitar into a volatile animal of some type- a T. Rex or a Lion.  It’s loud.  Tons of volume on tap.

I set it to a more tame setting at 9 on the sustain, 2 on the tone, and the volume set to give a slight boost.

The only real con is that it isn’t super versatile, but it’s a simple fuzz- that’s what you get.  That’s why I’m gonna get a bass big muff and a big muff with tone wicker.  A few more options and I’ll be golden.

I found the XO LBM too boomy on the bass end, I ended up moding it to standard NYC 3003-A specs.

I tend to set mine bright and find it fine.  But I also like a lot of bass.

I love bass but theres a difference between lots of bass and boomy. When I make effects I always put the maximum amount of bass into them without being boomy. Take the woolly mammoth for instance, it has tons of bass but isn’t even close to being boomy.

First version, STV. It was fine on a SS amp I have but on my twin reverb it was boomy, kinda like the black russian. I modded the black russian to NYC specs too.LOL From my understanding and the official EHX schematic I have both LBM versions are identical. I have the schematic for the first LBM and I’ve compared both versions via hi-res photographs and I didn’t notice any differences. I could be wrong, its always possible I suppose.

Well there’s the vintage little big muff, which is a different circuit, sounds different, and it in an old school type enclosure.

XO simply means the new diecast cases they’ve been using.

Yah, the XO little big muff has 2 versions- one with reverse controls, one without.

Oh, thanks for the info
I suppose mine is one of those vintage LBM, the knobs’ order is Volume/Tone/Sustain
I’ve seen in every picture of the site that the order is supposed to be Sustain/Tone/Volume… Or am I wrong?
