Hey all - I’ve been wondering if anybody has a list of the EHX pedal name shorthand ‘codes’ (I guess you’d call them); things like SMMH, BBMP, etc. Just curious - I think they’re convenient, and they appeal to the minimalist in me. :]

Hi all

I’m thinking of buying a retro style mic

Something like this:

http://www.studiospares.com/mics-vocalist/studiospares-s1940-retro-mic-red/invt/449140/?htxt=4k5VVZu1Hk5rAVDWKMzgZiXnGtVgF9Q5uq6ZUZxUe9mJbgBX4gE4fUy00sUSq78gtXx7ygiK3cKj
49b4RPp4dA==

I don’t know much about mics to be honest. When playing live I currently use a (borrowed) Shure SM58 that has, to be quite frank, seen better days.

I know one of these wouldn’t sound quite as good as an SM58 - but I was wondering if it would make much difference? It sure looks cooler! Would feedback be an issue? Does anyone have much experience of this kind of thing?

I usually play pubs/clubs/functions etc.

Thanks

hello i am a new 2880 user so keep that in mind. i want to use it as follows: to play prerecorded parts at will being triggered by a midi master pitchfactor -timefactor-sequencer-2880. i know you can only record one loop at a time but what if that “loop” was split into small bits that would be played or triggered by a sequencer’s (spp)? so i could have many back ground parts in one loop. they would all be at different starting points and stopping points. first can this be done? has anyone done this? if so what sequencers are people using to do this with? i would be looking for a hardware basic sequencer without all the bells and such.

I recently started using wound 3rds on my guitars, I really like the feel….I got them in the same gauge as my regular 3rd strings (.018) so they aren’t any thicker but they are a lot flexier I always felt that the plain .018’s felt a little too thick and stiff.

anyone else using or tried wound 3rd’s?

I recommend giving them a go if you use medium/heavier gauge strings…

I got mine from ‘stringsdirect’ in the UK (they also ship to europe), I’m using the D’Addario nickel wound singles along with my regular Rotosound 11 sets….I don’t think I’ll ever go back to a plain 3rd’s they feel fantastic and seem to be more ‘in-tune’ when fretting at the first and second fret playing open chords.

http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/products/661-d_addario_nickel_wound_singles_017_028_

as you can see in the link they go right down to a .017 so anyone who’s using 10’s or above should be able to get a suitable wound 3rd to try, I’d definetly recommend trying it out.

I just ordered a Mood Taurus 3 and I’m would assume that most, if not all, of your bass pedals would be compatable with that. But what about other pedals? And does anyone know what I would look for when shopping for pedals for something like that? I would assume that many pedals limit the frequency and wouldnt support those deep bass sounds, I dont know what the technical conversation in that would be called. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcomed.
